Creative Writing Workshop – Bonds, Borders, Belonging

This creative writing workshop will explore how relationships – with lovers, friends, family, neighbours and the nation – fold and unfold under the pressure of protracted hostile environment and rhetoric.

Using the prism of time, body, and connections, Dr. Vanessa Montesi will facilitate participants engage in a series of free-writing activities and guided reflection. With permission from the authors, the resulting texts will be published in a booklet, comprising poetry, illustrations and prose. Bring your own picnic and stay for a shared lunch in the garden at the end!

This workshop is taking place thanks to the support of the University of Edinburgh’s Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH).  Tickets are £3, and fully subsidised tickets are available too.
