The idea for this annual festival was initiated by Mark Lazarowicz, former MP for Edinburgh North & Leith, who for many years has been active in a number of European organisations in Scotland. Through the collaboration of several organisations the first festival took place in May 2024.
Centred around ‘Europe Day’, its programme aims to highlight the tangible ways shared values have brought benefits to Scotland, U.K. and Europe; examine how cooperation can be reset in practical terms; and reimagine how through creative effort the U.K., Scotland and Europe can collaborate to progress a peaceful, sustainable and positive future. Events are organised by a wide number of partners as well as the charity itself.
Our 2026 festival team is made up of a passionate group of volunteers and students who together hope to make this third festival the best one yet, with something for everyone!
